Safaricom leads Kenya’s fixed data and internet market - CA

According to a report by the Communications Authority of Kenya, Safaricom PLC leads Kenya’s fixed data and internet market with 735,749 subscriptions, representing 34.3 per cent of the total market share.

Wananchi Group (Kenya) Limited and Poa Internet Kenya Ltd hold third and fourth positions, with market shares of 12.7 per cent and 12.5 per cent respectively. Together, these four providers dominate nearly 80 per cent of the fixed internet market.
Ahadi Wireless Limited ranks fifth with a 7.5 per cent market share, joining the top ten list. Other notable providers include Vilcom Network (4.1 per cent), Mawingu Networks (3.6 per cent), and emerging players such as Dimension Data, Starlink, and Liquid Telecom, each holding less than 1 per cent of the market.
